What makes us the best choice for your heating and cooling needs? For starters, we’re an intentionally small, locally owned and operated heating and air conditioning company staffed by a team of Nashville natives. Our customers and our reputation are our highest priorities.
We love serving our increasingly diverse, fun, and colorful community. We’re proud to call our customers our neighbors and we’re a better company because of it.
We’re dedicated to providing our neighbors with the best possible heating, cooling, ductwork, and insulation products. We promise not to sell you anything you don’t absolutely need, we’ll help you learn how to care for your furnace or air conditioning equipment yourself, and we won’t force you into unnecessary and costly service agreements or preventative maintenance contracts.

Believe it or not, it’s been more than 20 years since John Mark first started working in the HVAC industry. To this day, he takes pride in his work and derives great satisfaction from a job well-done. He enjoys the heating and cooling service industry because he has the opportunity to meet new people and to take care of them in a way that is rare and genuine. He also appreciates the opportunity to be an active part of his community. He lives in Madison with his wife Ruth, who teaches at Dan Mills Elementary in Inglewood. When he’s not on the Cumberland clock, he enjoys hanging out with his wife and his son Eli, and their pup, Peanut. Together they enjoy hiking, camping, and boating, and when it’s deer hunting season you might find him bagging a buck on his farm in Butler County, KY.
Nashville native Blake Taylor has been working in the service business his entire life. It’s in the genes: his dad was a contractor and his grandfather was in the HVAC biz. Basically, he’s been fixing things since he could pick up a hammer. He’s lived in East Nashville since 2009, and his two children attend school in the neighborhood. Blake fantasizes about what he’d do in his free time (although he enjoys counting ceiling tiles at the dentist’s office) but in the meantime, he focuses on increasing his knowledge about all things HVAC-related and stays up-to-date on the latest innovations in the industry. He is driven to treat each and every one of his customers with the same respect, consideration, and honesty that he would expect himself. He and his wife, Amber, enjoy spending time with their kids and enjoying all that East Nashville has to offer.

She started her career as a dispatcher for a large pipeline company and then moved to an HVAC company. She loves learning how the technicians do what they do, and although she’s not ready to fix an AC system on her own, she loves watching the pros at work! When she’s not busy keeping things running smoothly at Cumberland Cooling you can find her spending time with family and friends. She’s also a dog lover, and yes, she probably will ask you if she can pet your dog! Chelsea loves to travel and experience new things, but East Nashville is where her heart is and always will be.
