What to Expect, HVAC Replacement

Woohoo! You’re getting a new unit! We want you to be happy with your experience, so here’s a few helpful reminders before your appointment.

Before we arrive

Parking
● Our install van(s) and trailer will be onsite, and they are beefy. We’ll need a place to park them.
● We don’t want to inconvenience you by blocking anyone in or interrupting your day to get our vans in and out. If possible, leave us room in your driveway or alley where we can get in and out as needed.

Access
It helps if we have clear access to wherever we’re working.
● Plan ahead for how we’ll get into the house (all day) if you cannot be there.
● We don’t want to break great grandma’s china! Please, move any furniture or belongings out of the way before we arrive. If indoor equipment is in the attic, basement, or closet, we will need access and a clear path to that area.

Pets
● We love them too, but please make sure they are put away before we arrive. We don’t want to let a family member out accidentally or step on any tails. Plus, biting hurts! Ask us how we know.

Plants
● You may have landscaping blocking the outdoor unit. Sometimes we have to cut away landscaping to access equipment. Think about transplanting anything that might be harmed in the process.

Help us be prepared
● We try to be as non-intrusive as we can, but construction is noisy. We may be in and out of the house a lot and using power tools. You may want to plan ahead for conference calls, children's sleep schedules, etc.
● If you have any special requests about timing, location, parking, or anything else, let us know before the day of installation.
● We may have equipment or materials delivered a day before your scheduled appointment so we’re ready to get started as soon as we arrive. Just let us know if that’s a problem.

Today’s the Day!

2-3 of our employees will arrive between 8-9:00am for most equipment replacements

Most units will take one half day and up to a full day. Some more complex jobs will need 2 days.

Don’t worry, this may get a little messy, but we won’t leave it that way! Our goal is to treat your house like we would our own.
● We will put floor covers down if working in the house
● We will clean up everything when we’re done and haul away your old equipment

No surprise costs! If we find anything beyond the scope of the quote, we will run it by you first.

We will do an inspection during our equipment replacement of the copper refrigerant lines in your system that will let us know if there are any kinks, or restrictions in those lines. If there are, we will let you know and inform you of what steps need to be taken to remedy the problem.

We sincerely appreciate your time in reading this. It helps all of us to be on the same page and have a good expectation of how the new system will be installed. If you have any questions about the process please feel free to give us a call at 615-576-0742

What to Expect When You're Expecting Ductwork

You’re having your ductwork replaced, hooray! This is a big project for your home, and our goal is to make it as stress free for you as possible. So, here is a brief explanation of what you can expect and a few suggestions on ways you can help prepare for the big day.

Before we arrive

Parking
● These jobs can require up to 7 people on site and several vehicles.
● We don’t want to inconvenience you by blocking anyone in or needing to shuffle cars. If possible, leave us room in your driveway or alley where we can get in and out as needed.
● If you have any special requests about timing, location, parking, or anything else, let us know before the day of installation.

Pets
● We love them too, but please make sure they are put away before we arrive. We don’t want to let a family member out accidentally or step on any tails. Plus, biting hurts! Ask us how we know.

 It might get loud
● We try to be non-intrusive, but construction is noisy. We may be in and out of the house a lot, using sheet metal and power tools. You may want to plan ahead for conference calls, children’s sleep schedules, etc

Plants
● You may have landscaping blocking the outdoor unit. Sometimes we have to cut away landscaping to access equipment. Think about transplanting anything that might be harmed in the process.

Access
● It helps if we have clear access to wherever we’re working.

Plan ahead for how we’ll get into the house (all day) if you cannot be there.

We don’t want to break great grandma’s china! Please, move any furniture or belongings out of the way before we arrive.
▪  Ductwork is big and dirty. We’ll need to transport it out of your attic or basement to outside. It really helps if you can clear us a path ahead of time.
▪  Move furniture around the vents in the house, we will need to access all of them.
▪  Don’t forget things you have stored in the attic and/or basement around the ductwork.
▪  We respect your home and belongings, and don’t want to see anything damaged. Let us know if you need an extra set of hands moving furniture out of the way!

We may have materials delivered before your scheduled appointment so we’re ready to get started as soon as we arrive. Since ductwork is bulky, this could take up a lot of space. We will do our best to coordinate with you and the delivery driver on where to put it all.

Today’s the Day!

Employees will arrive between 8-9:00am

Keep in mind, your hvac will be off until the ductwork is finished.

This may get messy! Don’t worry, we won’t leave it that way! Our goal is to treat your house like we would our own.
● We will put floor covers down and use tarps as needed outside where we will build the ducts to install
● There will be a large trash pile outside. We will clean up everything when we’re done and haul away your old ductwork. We try to do this the same day, but always within 24 hours.

You can expect 4 phases to your ductwork installation
● Demo - Out with the old!
● Building - putting together new ducts, typically outside in the yard or driveway
● Install - new boots to each register, and new ductwork assembled and installed
● Clean up - all trash and debris removed from inside and out
